Purpose:

Brightening up the existing student lounge, fostering a collaborative environment where students can be motivated to reach their full potential.

Conceptualization:

Utilizing the existing curved bulkhead to give a flowing appearance. We incorporated greens, blues, and yellows into our design to give the space a fresh inviting appearance, much like outside. The inspiration of yellow came from the CAT logo, and the moss wall brings the outdoors in implementing a positive effect on the health and well being of the students.

CAT is a place filled with creative young minds that are easily influenced by their surroundings.  These collaborative spaces allow for students to continue bonding in an energetic environment. High back acoustical furniture allows individuals to be isolated, or to minimize surrounding noise in collaborative situations.

The proposed lounge will give students a place to socialize, have a bite to eat, or to catch a breath. Students will find an inviting and calming place to relax anywhere throughout the space taking advantage of the seating arraignments.
